This page is a work in progress. My wife, Jane, and I have been looking up ancestors from Ireland and Germany for some time now. We plan to post on this page information from Counties Mayo, Derry and Roscommon, from the Irish parishes of Balla, Aglish, Ballinrobe, Tamlaght O'Crilly and the towns of Castlebar and Portglenone for a start. German ancestors came from Rhineland-Pfalz, Rheinhessen, Hesse-Darmstadt, Baden or Wuerttemburg. Family surnames from Ireland are Kenny, Thomas, Derrig, Golden, O'Herron, Hunt, Mulholland, Carlin, Archibald and White. German ancestors are Kolb, Mayer, Miller, Philhower (or Vulhauer), Smith, Tiger and Zink.
